One Day At A Time
No big accomplishment is built in a day. Consistently showing up to put in the time and effort is what brings results. Like a garden, incremental change over time becomes the big result.
It's frustrating from inside the process - why can't I just be an expert in this new technology after a week of effort? It's as ridiculous of a question as - I planted a few seeds a week ago, why don't I have a big, flourising garden?
I usually get discouraged by the small magnitude of results over a small amount of time, eventually losing interest or giving up. I want to stick to things, but I don't yet know how to stay engaged in the same efforts over long periods of time. Something to think on. Maybe variety and releasing the need for perfection will help.
I added an art section to this site to share anything I create. I've owned a drawing tablet for less than a week. I want to use it more, and posting my creations will motivate me to use it more. My art abilities have never progressed past kingergarden-level, so this is a perfect opportunity to embrace Learning in Public1 and allow myself to suck.
Here's a little preview of my terribly lopsided rainbow butterfly.
In hindsight, what a lovely first visual to add into my garden. Plants coming soon?
