It's Over

I can breathe again. Yesterday was the last of my wild push to relearn Java to prepare for today, and today has happened. This was happening partially in parallel to another big scary life uncertainty that I've blogged about, too, and so now the "worry" portion of both of these things is finally over. Results and outcome aren't fully known yet, but they're decided enough such that the results cannot be catastropic anymore.

I want to take time this evening to fully process this information and let it sink into my bones that I am safe and that I can relax. I'm prescibing myself an evening run after sunset (another day of heat warnings, as much as I'd like some sunlight), an extra walking loop around the park after my run, and meditation.

In terms of learning for the evening, I want to take a step back and make a new decision to follow my curiosity down the most interesting-looking (but still useful) path. I've also already started some work on my digital garden that I've been wanting to do, so far refactoring my blog structure by dates instead of the long unruly list of files it used to be.

I was thinking of treating myself to a nice dinner out, too, but it's been threatening to storm all afternoon. Better to not get trapped out. I'll convince myself to cook spaghetti instead.
