It's fine when I know a day is going to be unpredictable, but days that are unpredictably unpredictable are taking it a step too far.
I had to make three big scary unpredictable calls today! The nerve! One of them even went bad! I can't believe it. I accomplished what I needed to accomplish with those calls, but man. Not. Fun.
You know what's good about it, though, is that I recognized that I needed to decompress when I started my evening. I googled how others decompress, to get ideas, but ended up with my own strategy: rewatching a video from a YouTuber that I find comforting. Nervous system = reset.
I also (sort of) stuck to my exercize goal I set in yesterday's blog1. I went for a run after sunset. It was nice. I definitely felt like I ran a little faster than usual. I brought a podcast with me, which makes it even more pleasant. Some of the local ducks were out for a walk with their ducklings.
What I didn't stick to from yesterday's blog was the idea that I was going to make a big grand exercize plan to help me with consistency. Given how good of a nervous system regulator exercize is, I still do need to do that...
Here's to hoping tomorrow is a little more normal.
